Meet the new team
Written by Kelly Heylen on August 16, 2018
All community organisations need a strong team with the right mix of skills to lead the way. RBM’s new management committee have a mix of business, creative and community radio skills to help steer the organisation back to a place of strength.
Some of the main areas the new management committee are tackling include:
- Fixing the finances. This includes things like implementing an accounting system where there wasn’t one previously, repaying debts occurred under previous management, and helping RBM stay financially viable.
- Creating strong governance. This includes things like making sure we have a proper constitution, implementing policies and procedures, and making sure we have the right people in the leadership team who can help the organisation recover and grow, for the benefit of the community.
- Growing our programs, members and audience. We know things have been a bit haphazard in the past, but the management committee is working on ways to rebuild RBM and make it stronger than ever. This includes things like training, communications, fundraising and outreach.
So who is on the management committee?
We have several open spots on the management committee, so if you have solid business skills, strong local networks and a love of community radio, we’d love to hear from you! Let us know by getting in touch with Julie.
